OVERVIEW

Parsons Cyber Operations is hiring Systems Administrators with experience in Administration of Linux and Windows systems, routing protocols, and VM and Cloud Computing to join our team of hard working individuals. Qualified candidates will be required to install system hardware, monitor system performance and provide system support. Candidates will have an understanding of multiple network components including but not limited to: switches, routers, VPN configuration, security, and programming. Successful applicants must be flexible, self-motivated, hardworking, and capable of operating in a rapid response development environment to solve complex problems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* IT Administration

o Windows OS loading and updates on a closed network

o Linux OS loading and updates on a closed network

o Backup and restore implementation

o Windows and Linux software repository and build machine maintenance

* Network Services Administration

o Mail

o Apache Web Server

o VoIP

o Chat Server

o Nginx

* VM and Cloud Computing Administration

o Virtual machine administration (VMWare, Virtual Box, VSphere)

o Compute and Disk Server Administration

o ESOS

o Unitrends

o Synology

* Programming

o Unix shell

o Windows PowerShell

o Python

o Ansible

* Networking

o Switch with VLAN configuration

o Router and routing protocols (RIP, BGP, OSPF

o VPN (IPSEC) configuration

o L3 switch (VLAN and routing protocols)

o SOHO device configuration

o Cisco IOS experience with CCNA preferred

o Juniper Junos experience

* Network Tool Experience

o Wireshark

o Netcat

o Nmap

o Iperf

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor of Science in Network Engineering, Computer Security, Information Technology, a related field or comparable work experience
* 2+ years experience with administration of Linux or Windows systems
* Ability to communicate effectively with technical team members, managers, and customers
* Proof of US Citizenship
* Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Experience working in a Linux command line environment
* Experience in configuring and supporting VPN, firewall policies, and VLANs
* Experience working in a Windows PowerShell environment
* Experience with Active Directory
* Strong working knowledge and experience in configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewall
* Strong understanding of TCP/IP networks, DNS, DHCP, FTP
* Knowledge of network and web related protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, FTP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS)
* Experience with virtualization technologies (VMWare, Xen, OpenStack, VirtualBox)
* Experience with system and network security, authentication, and security protocols
