Overview

Mellanox Technologies is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our SW team in Austin, TX. The team is developing advanced features for our next generation intelligent network adaptors (AKA SmartNic). This position requires an individual who enjoys solving complex technical problems and has the attitude of "doing it right". You should be able to work both independently and as part of a team. The position provides the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of engineering development.

Responsibilities

As part of a growing team, you'll be responsible for the design, implementation, and testing of Mellanox NIC/HCA product features for networking and storage technology.

* Write and review design specification and code architecture documents:
* Develop features both in Linux kernel and Userspace
* Implement related features
* Work with Customers in translating requirements to features and code

Qualifications

* A BS or MS degree in CS, CE, or EE
* 3+ years' experience of developing in C, along with 3+ years experience in at least two of the below areas:
* Networking protocols
* Storage protocols (NVME, NVMF, iSCSI)
* Kernel/Driver development preferably Linux
* RDMA
* Security protocols: IPSec, TLS, AES, RSA
* Virtual switching, SDN
* Containers
* Cloud orchestration
* Working with open source projects
* Good oral and written English communication skills
* Strong work ethic - responsible, attention to detail, high quality work
* Able to work in a fast-paced environment
* Strong prioritization and time management skills
* Ability to meet deadlines
* Positive attitude
