Job Description

As a software engineer on the Trust & Safety Platforms team, you'll build infrastructure for automated unsafe content detection, classification and policy enforcement, that scale to 100B+ pins and 250M+ active users. You'll work on enforcing policies for Copyright and Intellectual Property violations, hate speech, pornography, violence, racism and spam. You'll also collaborate closely with analysts, ML engineers, multiple product teams and domain specialists on making Pinterest a positive corner of the Internet.

What you'll do:

* Design and develop highly reliable, backend systems for content processing and classification
* Work closely with ML engineering teams to improve and deploy image/video/text-based models
* Work with world-class specialists to enforce and define policies for safety, spam and brand safety

What we're looking for:

* Expertise building scalable backend systems with experience in AWS, Kafka, Hive, MySQL
* Proficiency in Java and Python
* Interest in solving Trust & Safety problems
* Ability to work with a highly cross-functional team and quickly evolving problem space
* CS or applicable degree
