Job Description

The Data Platform team within the COSINE Engineering System (ES), provides the tools and technologies that empower teams within the ES to use big data and modern AI & ML techniques to make their systems smarter and improve efficiency. As a part of this team, you'll be working at the forefront of modern big data processing and usage in a live-site focused environment. An engineer on our team will get the opportunity to:

Define how the entire ES uses AI & ML throughout the full lifecycle from ideation to productization.

Empower teams to become fluent data producers as well as consumers to continue to build up the data driven decision making culture.

Work with industry current technologies and build experience in the fast growing and innovation driven big data world.

This role is a Software Engineer on the ES Data Platform team with a focus on building and enabling data centric scenarios, including using machine learning, throughout the Engineering System via services to deliver new experiences to our engineers and partners and achieve our vision.  We operate mission critical services at world class scale and reliability, focused on sound fundamentals and industry current practices

Required qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related fields or equivalent experience
* 3+ years of programming experience in object-oriented programming and design patterns

Preferred Qualifications:

* Excellence in software engineering practices, coding and testing proven ability to plan, schedule and deliver quality software
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Experience with AI, Classical ML and deep learning technologies
* Experience with big data technologies like ADLS/ADLA, Hadoop, Spark, etc.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:

* Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
