SUMMARY

Hulu's Living Room team develops the Hulu client that runs on Xbox, Playstation, Apple TV, Roku, FireTV, and many other of the most popular streaming-media devices. We're passionate about the modern 10-foot UI and making living-room a great TV-watching experience. You will help build the best streaming experiences the living room has ever seen. Your work will directly impact millions of consumers, their experience with our service, and Hulu's business.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

* Work closely with UX designers, product managers, and engineering leadership to create best-of-class, delightful TV-watching experiences
* Work with other developers to deliver a modern Hulu client UI to Roku devices
* Implement the UI for new features and initiatives, working closely with the developers of the Hulu website and mobile apps

WHAT TO BRING

* 2+ years experience in front-end development and strong programming language and scripting skills
* A deep understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, etc)
* Experience developing UI in large and organized codebase
* Work samples demonstrating experience creating great UI
* Independent, capable of driving for results, and excited to learn new technologies
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams

NICE-TO-HAVES

* Experience developing for Roku, or similar devices is a plus
* Experience with streaming video, codecs, and DRM also a plus
* Strong experience with Scrum methodology
