Job Description

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will specify, design and implement major changes to existing software architecture. Define project needs. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to ensure consistency, testability and portability across products in general.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.

The Analytics business unit is responsible for the development, Go-to-market strategy and success of the Oracle Analytic Platform and Analytic Applications.

This position is part of the Outbound Product Management and is responsible for all go-to-market aspects for Oracle Analytics.

Job Responsibilities:

We are seeking an individual who is creative, enthusiastic, independent and a self-starter who is comfortable working in a virtual environment. Strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines are critical to this role. Project management skills and delivering projects on time as well as strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at the executive level is a must. Responsibilities include:

* Analyze, review and advise on the Oracle Analytics pricing, packaging and bundling strategy for the SMB and Enterprise marketplace


* Work across internal organizations to implement, communicate and document these strategies across Oracle


* Inform and educate Sales, business development and marketing on competitor pricing and packaging strategies and how to combat them


* Be the Point of Contact across Oracle for all questions related to pricing, packaging and licensing for Oracle Analytics


* Own and drive ad-hoc special projects that requires stakeholders across Finance, Global pricing, business practices and process operations



Network with cross functional/global business units to harvest and promote leading practices.

Promote standard, best practices on pricing, packaging and licensing and assist groups with adoption and transformation using standard collaboration tools like ALM Confluence, Oracle Documents and Oracle Beehive

Enable quick, relevant, and consumable information to stakeholders and present to stakeholder community your findings

Communicate direction, schedules and actions, quickly and effectively with rapid follow-up

Harvests feedback and monitors metrics for continuous improvements of our pricing, packaging and licensing

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate is a business analyst with experience managing and/or delivering projects with sales, business development, product management and external stakeholders. Understanding internal complex business operations, a strong business acumen and business relationship management skills. A multi-tasker with the ability to affect change as required. Demonstrated ability to think strategically but plan and execute with agility and detail. Strong verbal and written communication including the ability to facilitate global discussions and draw conclusions. 4 years in business or technology experience with a BA or BS degree. Good knowledge of MS Office and proficiency in Analytic tools including Oracle Analytics, MS Power BI, Tableau, Qlik is a plus.
