PBF Energy Inc. (NYSE:PBF), one of the largest independent refiners in North America, has an immediate need at Torrance Refinery Company located in Torrance, CA for a talented Process Control Information Systems Engineer.

Job Summary: Primary responsibilities involve Configuration and Support of Honeywell's Uniformance Plant Information System. This involves the configuration of database Tags on both Level 3 and Level 4. It also involves configuration of both SQL Server and Oracle Databases that are used for Blending, Volume Accounting, OIOM (Operations Instructions and Operations Management) and the LDI (Lab Data Interface).

Primary Functions:

* Configure PHD Tags on both Level 3 and Level 4.
* Monitors the Plant Information System to ensure continuous data flow
* Provides leadership and oversight for regulatory agency data collection to assure correct information is being assembled.
* Track / evaluate and report Refinery key performances indicators for the information systems and analyze any improvement opportunities.
* Configure Limit Sets, Limit Set Limits, Instructions, and Instruction Details for use by OIOM.
* Maintain Strapping Tables for use in Volume Accounting.
* Maintain Product and Product Attributes also used in Volume Accounting.
* Maintain Oracle Tables that are related to the LDI (Lab Data Interface).
* Configure Properties used in the Blending Program
* Maintain AFM Libraries on both Level 4 and Level 3 (CEMS Libraries).
* Submit "SMART" Requests to the IT Group for User Access Rights.
* Build and maintain "custom" Excel workbooks that are used by Operations.
* Maintain applications configured in Honeywell's Business Flex and Siemens XHQ applications.
* Work in a team environment with IT, Technical, Operations, HSE, Lab and Capital
* Provide troubleshooting assistance
* Willing to be available outside of normal working hours to serve as technical consultant

Job Requirements:

* BS in Computer Science/MIS, Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics. Conversant in process unit operations.
* Extensive knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle and Access Databases.
* Programming strengths on multiple platforms - especially with respect to Microsoft Office Applications (Excel).
* Conversant in cyber security standards.
* Minimum experience required is 5 years in industry supporting IT or Process Controls in a plant environment
* Must possess an expertise in network and MIS applications.
* Must possess strategic and creative thinking abilities.
* Must possess interactive skills necessary for teamwork building. This position acts as the focal point for MIS.
* Must possess good judgment.
* Excellent verbal and written communications and possess computer skills needed for communications and analysis.
* Knowledgeable in industry standards and practices including process safety management practices and risk management
* Ability to handle multiple priorities, manage short deadlines and emergency situations
* Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of an organization
