Job Description
The People Data Privacy (PDP) Project Manager will play a critical part on the People Data Privacy team within People Compliance at Facebook. In this role, the PDP Project Manager will drive key work related to areas such as governance and policy, documenting HR data protection practices, global implementation strategies, program improvements, and internal education and guidance. You will work within a global, fast-paced, and collaborative team that values engagement, initiative, and teamwork.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Project manage key projects to evaluate and monitor privacy compliance, paying attention to details, while understanding the big picture
Develop insights for communicating key PDP milestones with stakeholders at all levels
Engage with relevant engineering and analytics teams to develop templates and documentation related to evaluating new internal tools, features and functionalities
Assist in tracking and responding to internal requests for guidance on privacy requirements
Develop the PDP team's efforts to provide education and training on key privacy issues and practices
Partner with the Head of PDP to track and plan compliance with evolving privacy laws
Prepare project-based, privacy-related assessments and audits cross-functionally
Review privacy related policies and practices against leading industry standards
Develop recommendations for privacy and data protection trainings and awareness
Create dashboard views to critical PDP risk metrics to drive alerts, progress and continuous improvement
Engage with global legal and operational partners to ensure broad program expectations are met
Collaborate with other People Compliance work streams and subject matter experts to identify opportunities for improvement
Identify and execute against key milestones in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* 4+ years of experience as a Paralegal, Legal Project Manager, HR Project Manager or equivalent
4+ years experience in a consulting role within the data privacy or field, such as cyber security or audit
Experience performing privacy and/or security gap assessments
Experience working with International, Federal, and State Privacy Regulations, including but not limited to GDPR and CCPA
Knowledge of industry standards, frameworks, and best practices to data security and privacy
Experience driving cross-functional global projects independently and collaboratively
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification, or currently working towards CIPP certification
In-house experience, particularly with large technology companies
