Job Description

Wedbush Securities is one of the largest securities firms and investment banks in the nation. We have an immediate need for an experienced System Network Administrator. The System Network Administrator will be responsible for effectively provisioning, installing, operating, and maintaining systems hardware/software on all related infrastructure equipment in a financial services firm supporting 1,000+ users in over 35 branch locations across the US. This is a senior position requiring very strong technical skills as well as strong customer service, organization and project management skills.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

* Administer and maintain existing network and systems infrastructure as well as evaluating and designing new systems and network equipment
* Analyze, document and provide recommendations based on best practices
* Work with management to establish requirements for new systems and modifications
* Monitor and test network performance and security
* Perform daily backup operations, ensuring that all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media
* Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues

Experience and Skills

* B.S degree or higher
* MCP, MCSE, CCNA or similar certification strong plus
* Minimum 5 year experience as a System Administrator
* Experienced in Cisco firewalls, routers, and switches
* Advanced knowledge of SAN environments
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange 2010/2016
* Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
* Advanced knowledge of VMware 5.5/6.5
* Strong knowledge of network protocols such as MPLS, QoS, VoIP, VPN
* Experienced in general LAN/WAN maintenance and configuration
* Working knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange 2016, DNS, Windows Server Administration
* Experience running simple SQL queries with MS SQL Server
* Working knowledge and experience with Cloud Computing (Azure and AWS)
* Advanced hardware and software troubleshooting skills
* Experience with best practices for change management and code releases. Some exposure to continuous integration and related technologies beneficial
* Ability to work with minimal direction, self starter with very strong work ethic.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Financial Services industry, preferable Broker/Dealer, experience strong plus
