Job Description

This position is for a mid-level Military Data Analyst to provide on-site support to a government customer. The analyst will identify, collect, develop, manage, and disseminate current-year and future-year U.S. allied and partner data to include readiness, exercises, and training data, in support of collaborative study teams. S/he must be able to research a wide variety of possible data sources and positively interact with customers to include the Joint Staff, OSD and the COCOMs. The successful candidate must have a strong work ethic, be a team player, and demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills. Individual must work with other government and contractor analysts, and possess strong analytic and technical skills. The work location is at the Mark Center, Alexandria, VA. Position will require travel to the Pentagon and other offices in the National Capital Region.

Required Skills, Certification, Experience, and Education:

* Familiarity with U.S. and/or non-U.S. Military Forces (force structure; units and unit hierarchy; equipment; readiness, training, exercises, doctrine; strategy; tactics, techniques and procedures, and missions and capabilities).
* Experience combining data sources, architecting data stores and collaborating with data science teams and building solutions.
* High level of experience with the Microsoft Office suite of software; database software experience strongly preferred in: MS Access: writing queries, developing reports, developing database structures, and normalizing disparate data sets; MS Excel: creating pivot tables and using power functions; and Oracle Business Intelligence: creating queries, pivot tables, reports and graphics.Experience handling classified materials.
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Operations Research International Affairs, Political Science, History, or related Social Science area.

Required Clearance: Secret

Desired: TS-SCI eligibility a plus. US Military Experience a plus.
