As Intranet
Manager for Vrio Corp., you will lead day-to-day communications
management of AT&T's global intranet for our digital
entertainment services units in Latin America.
Reporting directly to the head of
Internal Communications and working as part of a global communications
team, you'll support key internal stakeholders and a community of content
managers (business representatives) to provide an exceptional, productive and
engaging digital environment for all colleagues across Vrio Corp You will also
interact with our IT teams in the U.S. and Latin America to enhance and grow
the platform.
You'll be a confident, outgoing and driven self-starter who has the
skills to cultivate a digital culture that encourages our people across Latin
America to engage, collaborate and share using the platform. You're a great
listener who communicates clearly and has a knack for writing on digital
platforms.
Responsibilities include, but are
not limited to:
* Help develop the ongoing strategy and shape for the Intranet
* Manage the technical relationship with the intranet vendor and
implementation partner
* Lead the implementation of pilots and full system roll-outs of the
intranet in each operation, including content migrations, communication
plans, and engagement and success measurement strategies.
* Develop and oversee governance and community management best
practice guidelines, permissions and approvals processes
* Ensure ongoing support, training and guides for content authors and
intranet users
* Assist with training of
staff on the use of the Intranet's CMS / publishing systems[CP1]
* Develop and maintain a global intranet editorial calendar and
oversee/curate global content
* Write compelling, engaging content that captivates audiences and drives
traffic and is consistent with our corporate narrative, company priorities
and brand voice
* Identify the story behind the story in order to vividly portray
company initiatives and programs Measure and report on the usage of the
intranet through the analytics package incorporated within the system
* Ensure the DIRECTV Latin America culture is demonstrated
throughout the intranet
* Partner with vendor and internal software development teams as
necessary to build and improve intranet functionality
* Stay on top of relevant market trends and technologies relating to
collaboration tools and online content delivery systems
The intranet manager, will have
the following key attributes:
* Excellent communication skills - written, spoken, and listening -
with ability to explain and interpret complex issues clearly
* Proven written communication skills with a portfolio of outstanding
writing samples
* Ability to understand the way employees work and shape solutions that
fit with their needs
* Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word with a high level of
aesthetic and organization
* Strong attention to detail and ability to remain focused in a
fast-paced, matrixed environment
* Demonstrate grace under pressure handling multiple deadlines and
requests from stakeholders
* Proven skills in project management and ability to prioritize
competing interests while driving towards overall success
* Comfortable working in a cross-functional environment to ensure
work gets done efficiently
* Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism,
Management or equivalent
* 2-5 years of experience implementing and/or managing enterprise
intranet and collaboration systems and tools
* Familiarity with content management systems, a plus
* Proficient photo editing skills in Adobe Photoshop preferred
* Proficient HTML skills a plus
* Previous experience with web content and related apps preferred
* Bilingual English/Spanish or Portuguese
Working Environment
* Standard office working environment.
* Some international travel as needed.
