Job Description
This position is for an FPGA architect to work in the Electronics Center for the Raytheon's Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) Business Unit. The person hired for this position will work on new product development based on descriptions and specifications provided by our customers. This entails working in integrated product teams to architect, design, develop, and manufacture complex state-of-the-art systems for space systems. Activities include requirement decomposition, performing FPGA architectural trade studies, finalizing FPGA implemenation architcture, estimating FPGA utilization, and performing/reviewing detailed digital design with embedded real-time processors and FPGA components. Specific tasks include performance analysis, design simulation, design documentation, defining verification plan, verification strategy, and performing design verification and testing, and integration of hardware and software at the level of the electronic components and circuit boards. Must have minimum of 20 years of related work experience
Required Skills:
* Electrical Engineer with 10 plus year of experience with an emphasis on digital ASIC/FPGA development including lab integration and test
* Well-versed in Verilog, SystemVerilog and UVM verification methodology
* Experience with industry standard CAE (computer-aided engineering) tools for electrical engineering (static timing analysis, clock-domain cross checks, linting, code and functional coverage) as well as EE lab equipment
* U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. DOD Secret Clearance with SSBI as of day one of employment.
* U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
Desired Skills:
* Familiarity with Xilinx and Altera development tools
* Familiarity with Mentor Graphics EDA tools
* Experience with JTAG boundary-scan testing
* Experience with MIL-STD 1553, Spacewire, high speed interfaces (ex. Ethernet, PCIexpress) bus architecture
* Software skills with C, C++, Visual basic, and/or assembly languages
Required Education (Including major):
Must have Bachelor's Degree from an ABET accredited university with a major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or other related STEM field.
Prefer to also have a Master's Degree
