Job Description

POSITION: Data Processing Operator (PHS) 40 hrs/wk Effective July 1, 2019

ASSIGNMENT: 12 Month, Grade 4

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: This is skilled work related to the operation of the district student data computer system. There is considerable staff, student, and parent contact. An employee in this position must possess communication and organizational skills, work within clearly defined procedures, and exercise independent judgment and initiative in performing duties and implementing new procedures and programs. Confidentiality of information must be exercised in performing duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
* Must have knowledge of data processing procedures and related operations.
* Must efficiently and accurately perform keyboarding tasks related to computer data entry.
* Must have knowledge of computers, office practices, procedures, and additional equipment.
* Must organize work flow to meet deadlines.
* Must have physical ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
* Must demonstrate appropriate interpersonal skills.
* Must project a positive image of the district to the parents and staff as well as exhibit a positive employee attitude.

POSITION EXPECTATIONS:

* Creates and maintains accuracy of master schedule.
* Maintains accurate student records.
* Coordinates student grading schedule.
* Assists in balancing the master schedule.
* Assists administrators by helping to compile data for county, state, and federal reports and by creating computer generated reports.
* Assists in the registrar's absence.
* Continues job performance enhancement by participating in appropriate professional growth activities.
