Job Description

Amazon is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer(BIE) to play a key role in building end to end analytics solutions to help drive business decisions for their innovative & technology driven physical store business. If you have experience in building and maintaining highly scalable analytics, predictive and business intelligence solutions, then we need you!!!

As a BIE, you will get an exciting opportunity to work across technical and non-technical teams to develop and define key business questions, then build the solutions that answer those questions. You will be working from the scratch like a start up kind of environment. You will be partnering with our physical store business teams,finance, product management and data engineers to build a self service data visualization platform for end users. In addition, you will be designing, implementing, and operating a stable, scalable, next - gen environment to flow information from the data sources to this new self-service platform. You will help finance and business teams to perform analysis using statistical techniques and deepen their understanding on customer behaviors, better pricing, reduce cost and influence innovation to raise the bar on grocery business.

Other Responsibilities:

* Enforce the necessary data governance without losing the self-service mechanism.
* Build and maintain WBR metrics for the leadership team
* Continuously research and provide guidance for improving the data accuracy and automation.
* Design and implement any complex business logic at the backend to simplify and improve performance of the user queries
* Mentoring and helping other team members
* Think creatively: Amazon is a place that is permanently pushing the boundaries of the industry. We are not looking for someone that will just estimate models and write analyses. We want someone that will extract insights and provide business recommendations
