Job Description

Uber is looking for a strong Software Engineer to join its Vehicle engineering team. The Vehicle team is building a new rides product that will enable Uber to provide the best service in new markets. It also empowers vehicle owners to better manage and optimize their transportation businesses on Uber platform. In this role you will have the opportunity to work across Uber's rider, driver, and marketplace technical stacks. Surrounded by engineers passionated by front end (Android and iOS), backend and computer science in general, you will exponentially grow your technical skills as well as have a huge impact on the overall business and million of customers around the globe.

What You'll Do

* Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers and other Engineers to help define, scope and implement high quality features that solve critical user needs.
* Break down requirements into architecture and deliver code, while keeping operational issues in mind
* Write clear documentation so that other engineers can jump in and get things done
* Help take Uber to the next level as a world class engineering team

What You'll Need

* BS or MS in Computer/Information Science or Engineering.
* Solid understanding of a high level programming language such as Go, Java, C# or C++.
* Experience with building backend services.
* Strong willingness to work on end-to-end feature development, including frontend, backend and database.
* Strong algorithm and CS skills
* Excellent written/verbal communication and great team player.
* Experience in working with agile methodology.
