WHO WE ARE
Torch Markets is a venture-backed FinTech start-up based in London, United Kingdom. We are focused on building trading platforms that allow the everyday-man to build algorithms for trading strategies, without the need for to code, or hire a quant.
For years, major institutions and funds have had significant advantages over the everyday-man. However, due to the super computers that sit within our pockets these days, things are evolving and the sort of technology that created such disparity is steadily becoming available to everyone. We like to think that we are at the forefront of this evolution.

WHAT WE DO
We are creating a platform to allow anyone to trade successfully in the financial markets themselves and the ability to create and deploy strategies themselves. We’re dedicated to building radical, value-adding solutions in the retail trading space. Solutions such as:
• Allowing people to build complex trading algorithms in minutes
• Using machine learning to only deliver contextually relevant content and feedback on strategies and news
• Allowing for any individual from any country to invest in the entire global equities market in a few Clicks (not limited to a specific country or region
• Using block chain to create exciting new ways to trade and invest in financial derivatives
Delivering these solutions freely and easily and in an engaging mobile format

WHERE WE ARE
We are based in London’s historic Tobacco Dock, right in the heart of the UK's tech start-up community. We have plans to expand internationally in the coming years, with a particular focus on emerging markets.

HOW WE INTERVIEW AND HIRE
Our interview process begins with an introductory call with our either our CEO or one of the senior members of our team. It typically takes between 20-30 minutes and is aimed at helping you understand us, and what we do a bit more. It also gives us a glimpse at your interests, goals and motivations. We are very big on creating and sustaining a culture of innovation, collaboration and self-development, so a large part of this call is to establish if we are culturally are a good fit for each other.
Following the introductory call, you will be invited over to our offices in Tobacco Dock for a technical and competency-based interview with a panel from our engineering team. This should typically last between an hour and 90 minutes. Once this is done, we’ll deliberate and let you know our decision in no more than a week’s time.
