Switchee Limited: Opportunity for a talented lead developer / CTO to join a London based, fully funded IoT startup focused on property tech.

ABOUT US

Switchee is a connected homes / IoT start up founded two years ago. We are in commercial trial phase for the first ever smart thermostat designed for landlords and are scaling up our team to meet significant customer demand. We have a highly capable, academically accomplished and driven hardware, firmware and commercial team and are looking for an outstanding software CTO to complete our senior bench.

At the core of our proposition is data, collected through a device we have built in-house, which we use to deliver savings to both residents and landlords. Our first market is UK social housing where we have a social mission to combat fuel poverty. As well as reducing energy bills, we help landlords cut maintenance costs by helping to detect issues such as boiler faults and mould growth.

THE JOB

As CTO of software it will be your responsibility to architect, design and implement the cloud solution that delivers analytics to the landlord. This work is at the core of our business. You will be building on some existing work deployed on the .NET Azure platform. We will also consider other platforms.

We are looking for someone with real drive and a creative mind capable of solving complex data problems in a neat, simple and commercially presentable fashion. You will work closely with the MD and Sales Director and a key part of your brief will be to incorporate user feedback into the development of our core software offering.

YOU MUST HAVE:

· A desire to build and lead a technical team

· A passion for writing great software

· Excellent C# .Net & WebAPI skills

· Strong Angular.js, Javascript, Azure experience

· A strong academic background (2.1 or above from a leading university)

· At least 4 years experience coding in commercial software

· Proven UI/UX experience in developing web applications

Bonus Skills:

· Experience working in IoT or at software/hardware interface

· An interest in machine learning

· A background in social housing or energy efficiency
