Superset, the open source project underpinning Preset, started life as a data visualization hackathon project. It quickly became clear to creator Max Beauchemin and his Airbnb colleagues that they were onto something. They established Superset as a full-fledged open source project, incubating with the Apache Foundation, in 2016. Today Superset is one of the most popular open source data visualization apps with more than 24,000 stars on Github, an active community over 375 strong, and enterprise users at Airbnb, Lyft, Apple and Twitter.
Superset creator Max Beauchemin founded Preset in 2019 to make the power of Superset available to the widest possible audience as a SaaS offering. We're a small team, looking for talented engineers to help us define the future of modern analytics.
