PeopleSpark grew out of a question that's fundamental to the success of every company experiencing rapid growth — how can we protect and improve our culture, even as we grow?
We began with the basic idea (backed by our own experiences, plus research from Gallup and others) that companies with the best cultures have the happiest employees who are the most productive and do their best work. We then wanted to find out what makes a great company culture that endures over time.
During our research, we spoke with people at dozens of companies experiencing rapid growth. We spoke with venture-backed startups, insurance agencies, hotel chains, fashion labels and construction companies. And we heard that communication, transparency and trust were the three things required to maintain (and improve) culture at scale.
We also spoke with people at companies that wanted to grow, but were struggling. After talking to their people (including executives and managers, but most importantly individual contributors) and asking for their feedback, we heard that communication, transparency and trust were the three things missing in those companies.
We then thought about how we could build a platform to help any company communicate better with their employees while becoming more transparent and trustworthy at the same time.
The result is PeopleSpark. And our mission is to make one million employees quantifiably happier through the use of our platform. We'd love you to join us and help us execute on our mission.
We opened our pre-launch email list for one week and during that time 525 companies signed up to use the PeopleSpark preview release, completing a 50 question survey and 3 phone interviews just to participate. These include large companies like Johnson & Johnson and Victoria's Secret, as well as dozens of Valley-based startups and everything in between.
The market is large, the pain point is proven and we're looking forward to building an industry-defining company over the next 5 years. We hope you'll join us to change the world.
