    Sex and the city

    Observer is perhaps most famous as the publisher of Candace Bushnell's column on Manhattan's social life, on which the television series Sex and the City was based. Today we cover art, culture, entertainment, news, politics, and innovation.

    Technology

    We run our main site, Observer.com, on WordPress VIP. One of our b2b sites, CommercialObserver.com, has been recently re-launched, and has a hybrid stack of Python Django for the front end and WordPress for the editorial CMS tools. We are building in both platforms, but focusing on Python. If you're a Python person that has had some experience with media/publishing using WordPress, you'll feel right at home!
