The company: Mobisante is a pioneering mobile health startup. We built the world’s first smartphone-based ultrasound machine - effectively shrinking this critical diagnostic tool from a machine that rolls around on a cart to a constant companion in a physician’s pocket. In addition, we leverage the inherent connectivity of smartphones/tablets to closely integrate cloud-based image management right into our devices, thus bringing ultrasound into the modern age. We have built a solid team, recently raised our Series A and are actively selling to medical professionals, both directly and through our dealer network.

Your challenge: You will be responsible for building our next generation handheld ultrasound machines. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to gain some serious bragging rights. We push device processing capabilities to their absolute limit. We acquire vast amounts of real-time data, process it and render images in real time. Concurrently, our device may be doing other tasks like compression, encryption and data transmission in the background. All of this needs to happen while the user interface remains slick, responsive and ultra-useable. This is not a task for the weak hearted.
