What we do

At defty we recognise that small businesses and individuals have been left behind by the web. Many small businesses such as restaurants and local shops would greatly benefit from an online presence but often don't have one due to a lack of skill, time or capital to invest in a good website. We want businesses to be able to build a full website (and get a custom email address) in just 20 minutes, and for them to pay just £20 a year — this will make getting online a no brainer!

How we started

defty was founded by the people behind the UK's largest and fastest growing web hosting company in response to this unplugged gap in the market. The company is fully funded by the founders with a runway of 2 years.

How we interview & hire

We've streamlined our process so we have just two steps!

The first step is a 30 minute phone call with our CTO, Danny. In this phone call you'll get an introduction to the company and learn more about what we're building and why. Danny will give more insight into the role you are applying for and ask a few relevant technical questions before inviting you to ask any questions you may have.

We'll get back to you with the result of your phone interview within 24 hours.

If you're a good fit you'll be invited to an onsite interview at our offices in Fitzrovia, London. In this two hour sit down Danny will spend time talking about the business and the technology at defty. Our co-founders will take over for the last 30 minutes so they can get to know you and you can get to know them.
