CareerPlug made the decision to be a Remote First company, forever, in the summer of 2020 after working remotely for months because of COVID-19. We know the heart of our business is wherever our employees work--from our space in Austin, to a home office on Lake Michigan, to an outfitted van exploring the American West (true story!).

WHO WE WORK WTIH

We take a partner-based approach to new clients, working with associations, franchisors, or similar organizations that want to provide a strong support system to their system/network and solve their problems, including hiring and retaining their workforce. They want a solution and to implement best practices for their group, but don’t want to be directly involved.

Our direct clients are typically businesses with 11-50 employees who belong to a parent organization (such as a franchise or association). They have decentralized hiring practices with frequent, consistent, or urgent hiring needs. These business owners need to delegate, want to hear from the experts on how to hire, and care about their people and the candidate experience.

We work with businesses across the United States and Canada.

By the end of 2024 . . . CareerPlug has been in business for over 17 years and we have continued to grow the company and live out our Core Values every day. Our product is helping small businesses attract, hire, develop, and retain the right people.

Our applicant tracking continues to make hiring easier for small businesses by allowing them to create attractive job postings, move applicants through the evaluation process, and make confident hiring decisions. The system educates users on hiring best practices to improve candidate experience and create a strong employer brand as well as automates most hiring manager tasks so they spend less time on hiring logistics and more time speaking with and evaluating the best candidates.

After the hire, CareerPlug helps businesses transform jobs into careers. After all, the best hiring strategy is retention! CareerPlug offers a centralized hub to track and store all key employee data, a paperless new hire onboarding and orientation experience, and a communication system to manage ongoing employee engagement and performance.

Our clients use the product weekly and frequently say that we are essential to their operations. Clients are able to purchase, upgrade, and use the product on their own. They have the information they need when they need it so that our team is more likely to engage in consultative, rather than transactional, interactions with our clients. Because of this, client and partner referrals have become our top source of sales leads. We are industry experts.
